Environmental Policy

At BST Environmental we are committed to improving our environmental performance by introducing best practice. We recognise that we have a responsibility to manage any direct or indirect impacts on the local, regional and global environment that our activities, products, services and emissions may create.

Objectives

We aim to minimise our environmental impact in regards to ICT by:

  • Disposing of ICT equipment in adherence to WEEE directive
  • Process Improvements - doing more work on screen to achieve an overall reduction in printing
  • Using ICT equipment to reduce the carbon footprint of the company's travel emissions (e.g. video conference, online client support, online data capture/audits)

Targets

We aim to achieve the following in regard to our ICT within the next 12 months:

  • Reduce local data storage though increased use of cloud based storage
  • Reduce printing and paper consumption
  • Use recycled or pre-used paper for any necessary printing wherever possible
  • Record and increase business miles avoided through use of video conferencing, online meetings etc.
  • Record and reduce business miles travelled

We shall take action to continually improve our environmental performance, and this policy will be reviewed annually. New policies will also be implemented as they become relevant, and where possible we shall use ethical provider and involve our contractors with our sustainability plans.
